JWelcome to December! It is without a doubt one of my most favorite times of the year. Yes, it can be chaotic and frantic but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on all of our blessings. No matter what trials, struggles or grief we bear, each of those things contain lessons and blessings if we simply shift our perspective to seek the joy.
No matter what holiday you celebrate, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or even Festivus, I invite you to set aside a few minutes each day over coffee, cocoa, or wine and reflect on all that is good in your life. Your heart will be full I am certain.
Then, take time either at dinner or before bedtime, and share a special moment with a friend or family member. Let them know how much they mean to you, thank them for a kindness they showed to you, share a holiday memory or even a miracle you have witnessed.
Sit with someone special in a room lit only by Christmas tree lights or candles and remember that your blessings outnumber the lights.
As we know, life is too short. Make new memories this holiday season. Share your joy and love: it will be contagious. It only takes one spark, one “I love you”, one “thank you” to set off a chain reaction of joy and happiness, light and love.
“Never be ashamed of how much you love, or how quickly you fall. Love fully, love completely, but most importantly, love naturally–and don’t you ever apologize for it. Don’t ever be sorry for loving the way your heart knows.”
All month long, join me in celebrating Blessings, Miracles and Memories! I and my readers would love to hear your stories.
